Well we are still at CMC-Charlotte this morning. Still waiting on the insurance to approve the move. Don didn't sleep as well last night as he has the past two nights. He is very worried about moving. His pain has increased and his blood pressure is up. He ate a good breakfast and is sleeping again. They took out most of his stitches in his belly last night but one of the ortho doctors had to take the ones out of his face and his hip this morning before 6:00. Don had healed so well, the stitches were overgrown. They all came out without issues. Most all the docs have come by to say goodbye already this morning. We are just waiting on approval and then the time of transport. They say we will leave before 12:00 today and that I can ride in the ambulance with him - probably up front. Let's hope so. One thing I have learned for sure is, nothing at a hospital is ever for certain. Being the "plan master", that has been really hard. I have to have a plan and a time for everything even if the plan is nothing. But I have to decide that the plan is nothing-LOL! That's why working at school is great for me - schedule, schedule, schedule! Please pray that the transition goes well and Don feels safe at Lincoln Nursing Center. He told the Nurse Practitioner that he didn't sleep well because of the move and that chances are I won't be able to stay with him at night. If any of you know anyone that works nights there, maybe they could just pop by and that might reassure him that everything is OK.
Once again, let me say thank you for everything - the phone calls (by the way the phone in his room has been broke well over a week. So if you called and didn't get an answer, it doesn't ring at all in his room.), e-mails, cards, money, food, prayers, visits, comments on the blog and well wishes. I hope I didn't leave anything or anyone out. I have tried to send cards, but I have lost track over the Christmas Holidays. But please know that everything is greatly appreciated! Just keep praying!

I will be thinking about you guys during the move. Too bad you are going to miss the fireworks downtown... you may have had a great view from 11 Tower! haha!
I used to play piano for Sunday School at Lincoln Nursing Center, but now I'm just on the sub list. Who knows, I might fill in one Sunday when Don is there!
Good luck you guys. This is just another step in God's plan. He will guide you through these steps of transition. Remember to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding...in all your ways, aknowledge Him, and he will direct your paths! And, it seems like that path will be down I85...back Lincolnton!
