We finished our visit with Don at 5:00. Most everything is still the same except his temperature climbed to 102.5 during our visit. They did give him Tylenol for the fever and said that trauma patients often run temperatures from what they have been through. Yesterday's episode really did a number on Don. His body took it hard. They put another NG tube through his nose to his stomach. They hoped they would be able to give him "food" through that tube. The x-ray's showed there was another blockage, so no food for now. I know you all have been praying and I am thankful for that, but please pray that the cause of the fever goes away and that the blockage goes away. The episode yesterday now supersedes all that has taken place up to that time. We need one more miracle - soon. Each and every one of us need a touch from the Lord. We are wearing down. Please keep praying!!!

Day Eleven
11:11
We just finished our morning visit. Don's mother arrived before us and Don opened his eyes when she came in. She told him she loved him and that she knew he couldn't talk but if he heard her to wink and he did. When we arrived at 9:30 he was resting. He remained asleep our entire visit. He is still sedated and on the ventilator. The doctor came in while we were there and said he was really pleased with the improvement. Don is urinating much more and it is clearing up in color. He is still on BP medicine but it is also helping other factors besides the blood pressure. He may have to be on the ventilator for several days and maybe even longer if he has some type of infection. The doctor said we may never know what the infection is/was. But we should know if it was an infection or if it was the NMS (neuroliptic malignant syndrome). All signs are pointing to the NMS. Please just keep praying!
