I am going to try to update the blog at least twice a day. I feel that I am forgetting things by the time I get home at night. I am so tired all I am thinking about is going to bed and I feel I hurry through it too. Don was still asleep when I arrived this morning. When breakfast came he was wide awake and ready to eat. He ate a good breakfast and said that he slept well. He had a piece of his butternut pound cake for dessert. After breakfast he has slept. We agreed he might better try to rest as much as possible as they plan to get him up today. The nurse practitioner came by this morning and looked at his incision. It seems to be getting redder every day and he now has some drainage coming from it as well. They are going to see if he can get an antibiotic for it. He has a doctor's appt. on the 13th and they planned to take the pick line out then. However that may be on hold now as we don't know if the antibiotic will be oral or I V as it was in the hospital. OT is planning on starting around 11:00 so I am heading back to his room. Please pray that he will have a great day and that if he is able to get up that he won't have any set backs!
