Day Thirty Eight

Don was already awake this morning when I arrived. He said he slept well. He ate all his breakfast. One of friends/co-workers came by to see him this morning. They had a great visit. Just before noon, they came in to bathe him and get him dressed for the day. After dressing him, they got him up in the lift to put him in his Geri-chair. He wasn't quite ready, but he needed to be up. He needs to build up to Tuesday's ride and doctor visit. They tried a new sling for the lift, but it didn't work so that had to go back to the one they have been using. The new sling put too much pressure on his left knee. Donnie Lee arrived just as we were getting him in the chair so he was able to feed his Dad lunch. He ate all his lunch except his fruit. We are now in the "Day Room" at the center watching some John Wayne movie and Don is napping since he took his pain medication. Please keep praying!
