Well both Don's appointments went great. His first was with Dr. K and it was the longest. They x-rayed and measured and told Don that his left leg was not longer than his right. They said they had been precise when repairing that hip. He said that the reason Don walked the way he did was because the muscles are not growing strong like they had hoped for and they were just not doing there job to help him walk correctly. Dr. K said when his muscles got strong enough he should be walking correctly. They gave Don knew PT orders for his leg and want him to continue to concentrate on strengthening those legs. I am not sure if I had mentioned that his PT has mentioned the same thing regarding the strength in Don's legs, but that has been an issue for some weeks now. They have really been working on that in aquatics. They also told him that the pain in his hip may last up to a year or longer and that it should eventually be pain free or at least very minor. He will be out of work through August 18th and that is his next appointment with Dr. K. Dr. K. said that his right arm was about as good as it was going to get for now. He said they go do the surgery to remove that bone sometime down the road but there was no guarantee that the bone wouldn't grow back and that the surgery itself could make the use of the arm less than what he has now. He told Don there was no right or wrong decision but Don told him that he didn't want to have any more surgeries.
Dr. Gaston's appointment was very short. They removed the stitches from the incision from the surgery on the 27th. Dr. Gaston said that everything was fine and that he didn't need to see Don unless he was having complications of some kind.
Donnie Lee's appointment went well. They did find that he has a tear in the muscle in his neck and that his knee & neck are pretty swelled. His knee took a good lickin' too. They gave him some medication for anti-inflammatory medication and he will have a follow up in 30 days.
I have my appointment tomorrow. Please pray. I hope that whatever it is they will be able to tell tomorrow and not have to run all kinds of tests. I actually pray I look really stupid tomorrow and they tell me that there isn't a knot there at all.
