This is really not an update on Don but felt I should let you know. Donnie Lee was in an accident this morning just after 6:00. He was on his way to work and was within a 1/2 mile of Lowe's and an SUV t-boned him. We did take him to the hospital and he was given a good report. No long term injuries - only bumps and bruises they said. They said he would probably hurt more tomorrow than he has today. He was complaining about his neck hurting before we left the scene of the accident. The man that hit Donnie Lee was traveling west on hwy 27 and turning into a gas station and Donnie Lee was traveling east on hwy 27 and was doing about 40 mph. As Donnie Lee passed the SUV, the man plowed into Donnie Lee. He was hit just behind the driver's side door in the bed of the truck. The SUV struck the entire length of the bed of the truck and even did some damage to the rear driver's side wheel. This is the truck he bought in December to replace the motorcycle that Don was riding on Dec. 4th. Donnie Lee was knocked sideways and continued to roll about 100 feet before coming to a stop. The man continued into the gas station and pumped his gas before coming back to check on Donnie Lee at all. He asked Donnie Lee if he had called the cops and Donnie Lee told him yes. He told Donnie Lee "aw, man I hate that. I would have given you a couple hundred dollars." Donnie told him it was an accident and the cops needed to be called and a couple of hundred dollars wasn't going to take care of the damage. The man was given a ticket and we then took Donnie Lee to the hospital. He is still soar and his neck is hurting him a good bit. He is like his father and insisting that he is going to work tomorrow. He will if at all possible - he is that stubborn.
Some of you know that I received a "not so great report" a couple of weeks ago when I went to the doctor for my 3 month check up for the diabetes. They said there was too much protein in my urine. I was retested on Tuesday and got the report back today - it came back "NORMAL!!" Praise the Lord!!! We are having some other health concerns in our family that we need God to heal! Please keep praying for all of us and even other members of our families. It seems everywhere we turn there is discouraging news at times. We all know what God has done for Don and even did for Donnie Lee today. We need the same miracles for other issues. Please just keep praying!! Thanks for all the prayers you are sending up for all of us!
