Don was in recovery until 2:20 and then they brought him back to his room. I haven't been able to see the incision (they were opening they old incision), but I am told that he has two drain tubes. I am assuming there are like the ones he had on the first surgery. They also tell me a has a wound vac. I am not sure about all that either. I understand the concept, but I have never seen one. Don confessed in recovery that he had been very worried and I told him I knew that. He had been very quite since Saturday night when the incision started draining. He is worried about all of us. We are trying to tell him we are just fine. They have started him Vancomycin and Zosyn. He was on this on Day 18. They had to give him pain meds by injection in recovery and he asked for his Loritab about 3:00. He has been sleeping since they gave him his meds. I will try to post again this evening.
