Day Four Part Two

1:30 P.M. Sunday
Around 11:30 this morning another Ortho Doctor came in and informed us that Don could possibly go into surgery as early as tomorrow afternoon. However, Tuesday morning would more than likely be when the surgery would take place unless someone with an emergency came in. They also told us that Don would not be any better off pain wise after the surgery on his left hip and left leg, he would basically be trading accident pain with surgery pain. The doctor also stated that depending on how long the surgery on his left extremities would take depended on whether he would have surgery on his right elbow and left hand. He also made us aware that with waiting several days it would be better than doing surgery right away, do to the fact of less bleeding. He is still getting really sick and nauseous when he eats and he is only able to eat 4 or 5 bites of jello or pudding at a time. The doctor told us Don would be given some medicine to help with the nauseousness so he possibly can eat a little more before midnight, at midnight he will no longer be able to eat or drink anything due to the possibility of doing surgery tomorrow afternoon. He is resting more comfortably and for longer amount of time now due to the oral pain medicine they were able to give him. Again please keep him and us in your thoughts and prayers!
